I have finished The Sword, and just started The Wolf.  Like the series a lot so far!

I have The Sword available if someone wants it.

I really enjoyed the first few books but then I found the world building got to be too much.  She gave too much detail about how their new government was going to work, etc. and I just didn't find it interesting.  It was the worst in The Song.  I found it so uninteresting I finally gave up even though I only had The Mage left to read.

i really liked the series, and all the worldbuilding.  it's definitely a series that ought to be read in order, as the progress of the island as a whole builds from first to last.

I am stuck on The Song.  I really liked the first 3 books and I just can't seem to get through the Song.  I'm going to do it though because I do want to read the rest of the books and I really don't want to make that bunny cry.  ;)

The heroine from "The Sword" irritated me for some reason, but then I tend to get easily irritated by heroines in romances.  I did like "The Wolf" and I'm going to finish this series as part of the 2010 challenge.  I'm just waiting for a few books to complete the set.

 Karen,

I am glad to see I am not the only one who feels that way.  Truthfully,  I am disgusted with her thru the whole series!  But other then that one character (I guess you always need 1 to dislike) I loved this series and can not wait to get my hands on a copy of Shifting Plains.

Happy Holidays

I have read the first 5 of the series and am looking forward to The Storm as Rydan is my favorite brother so far.  Okay now off to find some info on Shifting Plains.

To all of you who have read the series. I am looking for the larger trade paperback size. I have 2 of them but need the other 6. Do you have the trade size and are you wanting to swap?  I sure would  appreciate hearing from you.  The larger size is easier for me to hold and the printing is easier to read.  Please P M me.

I have read Shifting Plains and it is good.

I am on book #3 right now and enjoy it.  I agree about Kelly in the Sword, what a hag, but Wolf was great and I am enjoying The Master. I can't wait for to read some of the other brother's stories.

I didn't mind Kelly so much as I wanted to wring the neck of the one in Cat, Mara.  She insisted in being called A'Mara, even though she was never going to be a princess.  She had, to me, a superior attitude that just irked me. Rora was right in telling her that they were never going back to the Shifter Plains and she needed to give up her old life and accept and enjoy the life she had.

I hated that when she was arguing with someone she would increase her size, to intimidate them.  Here was Kelly, a mere human with no magical abilities facing off a woman who was a shifter and a princess and would make herself grow bigger to intimidate her and Kelly was  able to hold her own.

The Song was a slower paced story, the two characters were the quiet type, so there was no clashing of personalities such as in the Master story.

I really liked them and I hope she does another series.
