I was just thinking about this. I've read reviews and am really disappointed that she's going the paranormal route too. I really like Crusie's solo titles but I'm definitely not spending $ aside from a credit on this one.

I bought it Tuesday, but haven't gotten to read it yet.  I have two or three others to get thru before it.  I'll post a review sometime next week.

I read it and reviewed it for Amazon. I was disappointed in it. Well-written and I loved the heroine, but there's very little romance to the book - the hero (North) doesn't even feel like a major character. It really is more of a ghost story - Andie (the heroine) battling the ghosts to save the children. Andie and North  have a few conversations during the book, but he really doesn't show up until close to the end of the book.

Yeah, that's kind of what I was afraid of. Most Crusie books (besides the collaborations) are on my keeper shelf...this one I'm not even sure I want to spend a credit on, as even the synopsis really doesn't sound appealing to me at all.

I read it yesterday and really liked it.  It is not her traditional story, but it was a great read.  The characters were well developed and the story really pulled me in.  As for romance, its more based on memories and will they/won't they work it out.  It does have an HEA, so it works for me.

I really liked it! I didn't think I would with the paranormal storyline but it was interesting.  I liked it better than her other stories probably because there was more depth in this one with the main character and the two kids involved. As for the hero, he didn't leave much to remember by and his character is weak.

Definitely worth reading!

I read it a couple of weeks ago and thought it was just ok.  The romance was really secondary and the whole paranormal thing doesn't really interest me.  I wish the "old" Jennifer Crusie would come back!

I think it's more of a chick-lit than romance, but it was well written. I really liked both Andie and North; I just wish we had seen more of the children's personalities by the end of the book, especially Carter, and much less of a paranormal element. With such well developed characters (including the secondary ones), there was a lot of potential that I feel wasn't tapped. Worth reading though.
