the Harrison Raines Civil War Mysteries (such as Murder at Manassas) by Michael Kilian? I came across them in a search but I do not know anything about the author's work. They sound pretty good and I am a fan of CW fiction/nonfiction.

Thanks!

I don't know those particular books but, I have read another short (3 book) series he wrote that takes place in the 1920's. They were pretty good books.  He mixes  real life people into  the story along with his recurring characters.
