I'm looking for cozy mystery books. Meaning light and fun, not a lot of blood and guts, not dark, not full of bad language.

I already know about and have read the cat who books, grub and staker books, and rita mae and sneaky pie brown books.

What others are out there?

The best place to go for ideas is over to the mystery forum. They talk about cozies a lot.

However, since I'm here, my personal favorites are: Janet Evanovich (Stephanie Plum), Claudia Bishop (Hemlock Falls), Diane Mott Davidson (Goldilocks catering - her first several are the best), Shirley Rousseau Murphey (Joe Grey, who is a cat), J.A. Jance (Joanna Brady) and all the Murder She Wrote books .... that's just a few of them I really like.  There are tons of them out there.

Another idea, if you're unfamiliar with a lot of the different series, is go to one of the bigger book stores and browse through its mystery section. Then you can come back and order. Just be aware that many of the more popular ones are wishlisted here.

Try Sarah Andrews.  She can be a little mushy depending on the book, but there isn't a lot of blood and guts in her books.

Michelle, I have Creature Cozies, Fowl Prey by Mary Daheim, Holy Terrors by Mary Daheim, the Jerusalem Inn by Martha Grimes, and Two for the Dough by Janet Evanovich.  I've any of these interest you, I'd be willing to do a deal.  PM me.

The Mary Daheims have been taken.
