Hi all,

I cannot find the author or title of this book and it is making me crazy. Here's what I have:

Adult fiction/not a series/not true-crime related

A very young girl is kidnapped and held captive for over 20 years. She can not go farther than the garden and is usually kept in the basement. When she misbehaves, the kidnapper cuts down her favorite tree in the garden. As she grows up, the kidnapper has a sexual relationship with her and she tries to become pregnant later. She finally stabs him at dinner and gets away, but goes back when she hears that he is still alive and kills him.

Any ideas?
