I'm not sure if this is right forum, but I'm looking for stories about Leprachauns, particually of their interaction with humans. Thank you!

Wow I'm pretty well read in the fantasy genre but I'm not coming up with much here...

There is the Artemis Fowl series by Eoin Colfer - fantasy set in the "real world" about an extremely intelligent boy who makes a pact with the elves and leprachauns - but they are VERY different from the portrayal of leprachauns that we usually see in myth and literature. These books are YA fantasy, not adult, and I believe there are 6 books in the series now.

I can't recall for sure, but there might be one or two short stories about them in the Irish fantasy anthology, Emerald Magic: Great Tales of Irish Fantasy.

Other than that I can't think of anything right off-hand. There is a good movie - The Magical Legend of the Leprachauns - starring Randy Quaid.

Though not specific to Leprechauns, you might enjoy:

The Stolen Child
Author: Keith Donohue

Here are some, I've listed if they're in the system or not and if they're wishlisted.  I wasn't sure if you were looking for books geared exclusively to adults or to all ages.  Hope this helps.

I'm not sure it's the same thing, but I think Leprechaun's are related to stories of the Irish Sidhee, which are more comon in fantasy...not that I read a ton of fantasy.  The only book I can think of is The Broken Sword by Poul Anderson, which deals with a number of fae species and is very strange indeed.

I know I have the series here someplace, but about 1/2 my books (and most of my paperpabcks) are in boxes from moving.

There's a sci-fi fantasy series that involves the Sidhee, elves, saving abused children and auto racing.  I can't think of the names of the books offhand, or the author, but if I find the books over the next few days I'll post the titles.

(Unless someone else can identify the series I'm thinking of?)

Got it!  Wasn't leprechauns, it was elves.  It's a Mercedes Lackey & Larry Dixon series.

One book is The Chrome Borne (which is actually two books, the first and fourth in the series)
