Hi guys!

Okay, so I know I am certainly not a minority on this one. =) I LOVE Laurie Notaro and Jen Lancaster.

LOVE THEM.

Is there any other authors out there like them? The sarcasm, the humor, the real life drama/poking fun type bit?

I have a dry sense of humor, these two double me over laughing..

Would LOVE to find other authors similar. Are there any? Thanks for any input guys. =)

 David Sedaris's writing is similar.

I was going to suggest him too, but wasn't sure if we were talking girls only. If not, then Augusten Burroughs as well.

FYI- David Sedaris is on a book tour right now. He's doing a free talk here in Raleigh on June 24!

I tried to reply to this earlier but my Internet crashed so I didn't feel like typing it again...

I second Chelsea Handler, I am reading "My Horizontal Life" right now and it is funny. "Hypocrite in a Pouffy White Dress" by Susan Jane Gilman is good, though I read it more than a year ago and my memory is horrid so I can't remember much besides that... I also got recommended "We're Just Like You, Only Prettier: Confessions of a Tarnished Southern Belle," by Celia Rivenbark which I got through PBS but haven't read yet. I thought "I Hope They Serve Beer in Hell" by Tucker Max was funny but you have to be light-hearted about the topics (he's a very "manly man").

I would suggest going to Amazon.com and typing in those books you like and seeing what "similar customers bought" or whatever on the bottom there!

Oh I think Susan Reinhardt is another. I have a ton of her books on my WL and think I came to her by liking Laurie Notaro.
