I like reading a good romance, with a little 'erotica/romance' thrown in. Whether its a nice romance in a small town or a paranormal romance, they all interest me...

I read a Susan Johnson book recently called Temporary Mistress that was really steamy. I really liked the dialogue between the main characters in this book. There is a lot of light banter and teasing back and forth between them. The part where he finally gets her to his home is HILARIOUS. And of course like a lot of Johnson's work, the sex scenes are really hot.

ETA: I have a copy I hadn't decided if I would post yet, but I'll go ahead and put it on my bookshelf if you or anyone wants it (I don't think it's WL'd).

I don't have any on my shelf, but Shannon McKenna is one of my favorites. Cherry Adair is really good too. They are both VERY steamy romantic suspense.

Hope you like it Shayla! Like you, I like my romance novels to have some really steamy sex scenes. Have you looked at www.likesbooks.com ? You can search the books they've rated by sensuality rating, I use them a lot.

these are all wishlisted but were pretty good reads for me..think they're all  considered erotica or erotic romance -

jory strong's crime tells (3 books - lyric's cop, cady's cowboy, calista's men-calista's men is a threesome) steamy sex and a storyline

lisa marie rice has several - midnight series has 3 that overlap with an ongoing storyline - midnight man, midnight run, midnight angel and some independent books - port of paradise, dangerous lover, woman on the run I didn't like as well because of the storyline but that's just my tastes

Lena Matthews has 3 also : strip poker I think is the series stripped bare is the last.I think 'call me' is the first.. three nights is 2nd..if you're interested I can look them up but I've read the 1st 2 and they were good stories.

if you like menage and bdsm, 'lisa's gift' is a good story-think mackenzie mackade wrote this one

I think all of lora leigh's are hot - forbidden pleasure is a threesome and her seal series is pretty hot - the one that has dangerous games, hidden agenda, etc.

The Bane Affair by Alison Kent was good. there's a whole series but the next 4 in it are hot reads but shorter in length.

ETA: lucy monroe is a favorite of mine, esp her mercenary series - ready, willing, and able then the goddard series - satisfaction guaranteed, deal with this and deal with this has characters from 'the real deal'. all of these I thought were good.

You might enjoy Susan Donovan or Rachel Gibson. Good stories with some "steamy" scenes.

Shannon McKenna-I think most of hers are WL but there might be a few of the older ones available. She's along the lines of Lora Leigh.  Great, great sex scenes with an actual honest to goodness plot.

I think I saw everybody I know of mentioned already.  In historicals, I was gonna say Emma Holly is about the raciest stuff I've read, maybe Nicole Jordan and Susan Johnson somewhere after that.  Watch Johnson & Jordan though.  They can either be great, or they flog you to death with it.  If reading about sex ever gets as excruciating as dental surgery, somebody, somewhere was sleeping at the switch.

Stephanie Laurens is a good author with "steamy" scenes

In only read historicals, so here go my recommendations:

Outlaw by Susan Johnson was steamy and very well written.  Also, anything by Robin Schone if you like ero thrillers-- especially The Lover, Gabriel's Woman, the Lady's Tutor. Schone tends to be a little dark and gothic, howvever.  Beyond Seduction by Emma Holly--one of my faves. 

Also, anything by Sylvia Day, esp. Passion for the Game, the Stranger I Married, Bad Boys Ahoy (3 short stories), A Passion for Him

I just finished Suite Fantasy by Janice Maynard and it was VERY STEAMY!!! It's 3 short stories in 1. A lot of steam not too much romance.

I'm reading A Mutual Favor by Ann Jacobs right now (thanks Rebecca!) and it's a very good steamy story. Hero is a surgeon who needs a more stable home life to regain regular visitation of his 12 yr old son. He marries his pal who , after her sister gets sick, decides at 32 if she's going to have that baby she better do it now. Well written, all characters, nice love story, decent sex. lol
