Uh....  Yeah....  Do you expect someone to send you their unpostables without ordering anything?  Hmmmm......

Linda -

Well, yeah. That's what the books posted on "post your damaged books" are--pure giveaways. First rule on that thread is:

"Post Your Damaged Books Here" thread is ONLY for books that you want to give away. Please, DO NOT ask for an request off your shelf in Damaged books. Again, these are books you want to send as a Random Act of Kindness. Nothing expected in return. . Don't use it to post deals. People who go to this thread are loooking for books that are FREE, IE: no credits needed.

So, Steve posted his/her request on the wrong thread, but it's not an unreasonable request--it just needs to go to the right place.

No need to apologize Steve.  Many people handle their unpostables in many different ways.  Sometimes, they offer them as a freebie with an order off their shelf and sometimes they just want to clear off their bookshelf and will send them onto another member as a RAOK.

Thanks Carol, I love this site!  Everyone is so helpful, I just do not want anyone to think I was trying to get something for nothing, I truly want to help anyone once I get more credits, Im just new and thought this would be a good way to get me some reading material until my books I sent were credited, people like you informing newbies like me is what stands this site out!  I truly love everyone I have met here!  Thanks so much!

Steve

Long ago, people just sent them as freebies.  It was later that people started asking for an order from their shelf.  I sort of liked the karma of sending them as freebies, myself.

Steve R: I like the idea about sending unpostables out just for free. Unless you really need credits. I have a copy of Lisy's Story by Stephen King. It is a hard cover but has no dust jacket. It is in perfect condition otherwise. If you would like it just PM your address and I will have it out in the mail for you probably by Tuesday since it's a holiday weekend. CindyM

Cindy, HC do not have to have a dustjacket to be posted. So your book should be a-ok to post.

I think it is fair to post unpostables in the damaged book thread so everyone has a chance at them.
