The interest rate looks good, but they only pay the interest once every 3 months.  I was wondering if it is worth it or not.

I'm not familiar with them but it does say FDIC so that's pretty safe I think..don't know if there's a minimum balance or charge though..didn't read much. I already have ING set up though it's around 1.5% and also have a small credit union that pays more so I really don't need another savings account to keep track of. If you're looking for a savings accout it mgiht be a good deal though.

My son used Smarty Pig when he was saving up to run a marathon and he had a great experience with the site.  The site owner even contacted him to ask about the marathon and sent him a congratulatory banner.  Don't know that this is particularly helpful to you, but it does speak to the kind of people who run the place.
