there is over 300+ books I have collected and send over so far. However there is another caa 400 that are still on my list to find. I'm low on credits so I ask if any of you would be willing to do 4-1 on their shelf or if you would be willing to donate the books.

Those books are for a public library and the books will be 90% rented out by Americans (contractors, soldiers, teachers) but there are also lots of philipinos, korians, germans, english.... private contractors and educators that also have interest in english books. As well as a large number of Iraqi Kurds. Please understand that because of this not all books are suitable or would be in demand.

There is no direct mail to Iraq (except federal express at $120 for a letter price) The books go from there to sweden/norway/germany (at $160/35lb) and from there to kurdish friends who are about to go on their annual visit 'home' = north Iraq, they will take the books and deliver them to the forming english section of the public library. It is a six people effort, The curator of the library, the 2 guys that find transport worthy/willing travelers among their friends and deliver the books to them, the books I send from US and another person who sends books from UK.

Anone wishing to help out, please PM me.

Thanks Lenka

PS: Most similar books will likely be a great adition to the collection. Paperbacks are prefarable ;0)

Sfcifi and historical and educational memoirs and some romance are always welcome even if not on list!

The only books with a '?' are romance as they sometimes have inapropriate seens. The only exception is those that are specifically requested by the forigners. Otherwise most books are ok, however there are books that would have little popularity and so they are not worth the expence.
Suspence is ok (depending on the author/book) horor is a no no.

Lenka - I do this on a soldier by soldier bases and I guess those books are left behind when the soldier returns home - so hopefully they will also make it way to your library.

I will look what I have on my shelf and PM you -
