I have a book that was mailed to me a couple weeks ago with PBS-DC. It seems like it's stuck at a certain hub. It keeps getting scanned there "enroute" day after day but never seems to actually get enroute to me. Is there anyone I can call or email or something or do I just have to wait it out and see what happens? Here is the scan info.

Sorry, Tammy, but until they decide there's room for the media mail, they won't ship it out. That's the bad part about media mail.

Take the DC# to your local post office and ask the supervisor to look into it. You can try the toll free number or the online contact us too.

Not sure how it happens but I have seen it before. We had one priority package cycling between Pittsburgh, PA and Atlanta, GA. The postmaster called somebody and got them to track it down and make sure it got delivered.

Thanks Patti,I'll try your suggestions. I understand media mail only gets shipped when they have room but I've gotten books both from half.com and PBS that were mailed after this book and also scanned at the Forest Park hub. They all got here just fine. It just seems to me like this one book is "stuck" Thanks for the help you two :)

Tammy

This is the truth I am sorry to say media mail is not treated with any special care as it is a lower class of mail that moves behind first class, priority and express. Going and speeking to a supervisor will result in this answer when they relize the class of mail it is.

All I can say is have patience and it will come

I'd go talk to them Tammy. Even if media mail is put on the truck last, it should AT LEAST leave their building in the same order it came in. Talking to the PO might get someone to look into why it hasn't been moved before the media mail that has come in after it, and why it is being scanned all the time, without going anywhere.

I went and talked to them yesterday morning and I finally got the book today. :)  Melanie I agree I couldn't figure out why I was getting stuff that was mailed a week or so later but not that one book. Hopefully nothing else gets stuck lol.
