This book is Reading Level 3.
It's a great book with lots of color pictures and fairly large print. It gives an overview of the Space Race, focusing on the near disaster of Apollo 13 (and using pictures from the movie for dramatization.) I think it would easily keep the attention of a grade-schooler. It's going into my husband's 4th grade classroom.
