I had this bright idea that I would buy one of the top 5 waitlisted books for myself for the holidays then post it when I'm done.  I chose "Eat Pray Love" which has something like 1,000 people on the waitlist (and I'm really enjoying reading, btw!).  Well, today my 8yo bumps over a full cup of coffee on the poor book, ARGH!!  :(  I have a local friend who has been bugging me about getting the book, and I was just going to loan it and get it back to post, but now it will just stay local--SORRY!!

Of course you all would never have known this had I not posted, but the reason I did is to recommend the book and say it is worth purchasing if you are looking for something to read over whatever Christmas break you might get from work/school/etc. --and it definitely will be snapped up in a hurry when you are done IF you can keep your coffee away from it LOL!

Oh no!  That's so frustrating :-/  But thanks for the reminder!  I've heard it was an awesome book (I have it, just haven't read it yet), but now I know what to get my step-mom for Christmas!

You can also offer it for free (in unpostables) with an order.

Or maybe offer it to one of your PBS buddies.

I'm just waiting for my 16-month-old toddler to decide that one of my books is teething fodder. It's hard enough to try to keep his own books out of his mouth! LOL!

Thanks for thinking of us when you bought the book, though. Many people wouldn't even consider PBS as a factor in a book selection.

And thanks for the glowing review! I think I'll bump it up on my TBR stack! :)

Oh, my heart breaks Patty !  I hate to see a good book get unpostable!    I lent my copy to my mom, and I can't wait to get it back.   I still haven't read it yet.

I just got that book as a present and was not really looking forward to reading it.  I planned on reading it just so I could talk to the person who gave it to me about it.  I guess I should be glad I got the book.

At least you ruined it before you posted the book. I posted a WL book last week.  It was accepted right away. I had the book out to remind me to mail it and accidentally got it wet. I had to cancel the transaction. I was so mad.  I sent it out as a freebie to someone who ordered 3 books from me. She was very happy to get a free WL book.  It only had 67 people waiting for it though, not 1000.  ]

I don't put myself on those super long WL lines.  Eventually there'll be 1000 copies of the book in the system and people will be begging to have it taken off their hands.
