I'm mad at myself for not thinking to ask this days ago, but we're going out shopping for a new computer this afternoon and I think we're going to switch over to an Apple.  My FIL and my daughter's boyfriend (who is in grad school for computer science) are both Apple users and are encouraging us to go Apple.

Any comments, suggestions, or warnings would be appreciated, before it's too late.    Thanks!

We're also making the decision whether or not to homeschool our 16-year-old twins, who finish their sophmore year in HS this month.  I'm hoping that we will be homeschooling, and wonder if an Apple system will cause problems with any curriculum choices?
