I am currently reading Forbidden - Syrie & Ryan James. Its your typical young adult paranormal romance novel. Nothing too special but its pretty well written and a quick, easy read.

I just finished The Golden Lily which had a slow start but ended with me looking forward to the next book. Hopefully I can get my hands on it soon. Now I am reading My Life Next Door. I have found myself laughing out loud over the Garrett's family dynamic. Very fast and enjoyable read so far.

YEAH...i finally finished Stephanie Meyer's THE HOST last night.  I quite enjoyed it.  Though tell me this...WHY was it aimed at adults rather than older teens??

It is such a good book April!!!

As for The Host, I never read it, Val...  not sure why, but I didn't....  I just wonder if Stephenie Meyer plans to write anything else....

i thought i heard that The Host was supposted to be a series.  It's left wide open to be one...  Jacki, it was slow going, but once she gets to the desert in search of Jamie and Jared, I really had a hard time putting it down.  I hope to see the movie this weekend, but the trailers are nothing like what's in the book...

I read the Host several years ago Val, but I thought the trailer looked very different from what I remembered from the book as well. I will still watch it though.

I finished My Life Next door and really enjoyed it. I loved the Garrett family and Jase. There was so much love in all that Chaos. Up next is the Thing about the Truth.

Just finished Firespell by Chloe Neill.  Interesting read but probably more for teenagers than adults.  The basic premise is based on magic use.  Those endowed with magic talents have them peak 15 to 25.  After that, they must return the magic or "use" others to sustain their magical abilities.  Something Like Fate by Susane Colasanti is well written.  The author spent ten years teaching high schoolers and I felt that she captured the angst and problems of the age so very well.  Good one.  Also finished the last of The Enchanted Forest Chronicles by Patricia Wrede, Talking to Dragons, good for the younger set.  Now into Jacob Have I Loved by Katherine Paterson and it appears quite good.  Glad I chose this for my challenge.

I finished PURE by Julianna Baggot last night to finish out the YA Reading Challenge.  Really enjoyed it far more than I expected to.  Now I want to read the next one, but really don't want to have to deal with a hardback cuz it's a big book...  Working on Override now at work and listening to ENDURE in the car...been waiting EONS to get my hands on audio for that since I listened to the previous ones...

I just finished Rats Saw God by Rob Thomas.   Contemporary.   I thought it was really good.  Steve York is the son of a famous person, whose grades have gone from A s to failing.    In order to pass English, he has to write 100 pages for his Guidance Counsellor.   He starts chronicling his decent into apathy.  I read it in one day.   Couldn't put it down.   Loved it.

Just finished ENDURE (the final Need book) this morning.  It was ok...the ending just sort went WHAM and wrapped up in 2 chapters, which was a bit lame, but overall it was ok...not the best in the series by far though...

now starting Fuse (follow up to Pure) in the car since I really enjoyed Pure a lot...

I enjoyed Pure too Val, and I am looking forward to Fuse if I get my hands on it. Let us know how you like it. I finished The Thing About The Truth and it was just ok. I was disappointed. I just received Fragments, so Partials and then Fragments is the next YA for me.

Just started Die For Me - Amy Plum. I've already connected with the main character which is something I absolutely love doing when I'm reading.

I have the follow up to Die For Me but haven't read it yet.

Finished STARRING ME by Krista McGee last night.  It was decent...cute.  Wanted to scream at all the "missed" chances Chad and Kara had to figure out the story!  LOL..

Started If You Find Me by Emily Murdoch on the drive in this morning.

Val- I LOVED Pure. It felt different than some of the others out there. I was unsure at first

Elisabeth- cant wait to get my hands on Fragments. I somehow managed to snag Partials for 99 cents in a one day kindle deal kind of thing a couple weeks ago. Finished it in a day.

I just finished Friday Night Bites by Chloe Neill. 2nd book in the Chicagoland vampire series. I read both the first and second book each in a day. They are really fast summer reads and pretty good. I just started Under the Never Sky this afternoon and im 200 pages in .Its not quite like I expected. Im a little unsure how I feel about it. Im still at the point where im curious how it will be pulled together. Not yet enthralled.

Finished IF YOU FIND ME by Emily Murdoch.  A bit of a heavy story, but decent enough.  Now, I am FINALLY going to sit down and listen to the rest of FUSE...I'm about 2 hours into the 16 hour audiobook....  Got a bit to go!  :)
