Welcome to the RAOK wishes thread - more fun to be had in the RAOK!

This is where we post our wishes - maybe things we collect, something we can no longer find in our area, things we have always wanted etc. etc. No wish is too big, you never know what will turn up here.

We must abide by PBS rules :
You may not wish for money, or monetary donations for any charities  ( you may ask for things you collect for charities, like stamps, can tabs etc., but not for money)
No buying or selling  or  advertising.
No wishing for credits (Credits are bought, sold and loaned only in the Book Bazaar forum, or use the PBS Kiosk to purchase)

Do NOT ask for books, since books are swapped on the site and book deals are made in the Book Bazaar. You may not ask for free books of any kind sorry.  (Unpostables are given away in the damaged book thread of the Bazaar and sometimes in the RAOK thread)

Our own RAOK rules:  Please
Do not offer payment for the things you are sent, including postage. RAOKs are given freely,  asking nothing in return except a thank you.  Try to pay it forward, maybe grant a wish yourself.
Unlike many other forums, we ask that you do NOT reply within the threads. We do everything by PM between members. This keeps the threads clutter free and easy to use.   When you go to the wishes, you see wishes. In the RAOK, it's all things we are giving away - simple and easy.
And please do not post your address in the thread - it's all done via PM
Please, if you post wishes, be prepared to check in and answer your PMs.   It's frustrating when people want to grant your wishes and don't hear from you!

You do need to say THANK YOU.   See our monthly  *****thank you thread****, or you may acknowledge what you have received via PM to the members who granted your wishes.  This is very important if you wish to continue to receive things from others.

Tips :
Check the RAOK forum before you post wishes - they may already be there for the asking!

If you see a wish you can grant, just PM the poster for their  address.

And please remember, if one of the moderators contacts you about a posting, we are only trying to keep the forum running smoothly and according to PBS rules. If you are asked to change, move or delete your post, please do so.  Most of you know the PBS team does get involved to edit posts and accounts do get suspended.   We hate to see that happen to our fellow RAOKers!

Please feel free to PM with any questions

Happy Easter. I hope you had a great one!

I would love anything that has to do with glass beading. Beads, tools, wire, elastic thread, etc.

I like make up. I wear black or dark brown and dark blue for my eyes and dark red and browns lipstick.

My grandson would like an oversized bookmark. Something large and obvious that would go well with a hardcover book, like a text book.

Thanks so very much for reading my post heartsmiley

Thanks for looking. I'm wishing for:

I'd like it if I could get some bottle caps. The kind you use a bottle opener to get open (only most of them twist now). I have some from Orange Crush and RC Cola, but that's all I can get that we drink. I don't want any obvious beer bottle tops. I'm thinking of making some Christmas ornaments for gifts and that would be inappropriate for the recipients. Of course, if it's some "off" or "local" brand, I wouldn't know the difference anyway. wink

Coke codes

Kellogg's Family Rewards Codes
Anything "owl". I just love owls! laugh

And I love stickers to put on my envelopes and packages.

Here is my Wish List:

- Weight Watchers recipes, from WW cookbooks, magazines, shared in meetings, anything like that; I am trying to get more into cooking with Weight Watchers recipes

- Anything cross stitching related, but especially patterns (any kind of patterns as I cross-stitch for the online charity LoveQuilts and a wide variety of themes are requested to be stitched, though please, no Christmas/winter/angel patterns, I'm all set on those!); I'd especially like those 'One Nighter' pamphlets

3D puzzle or wood model or any kind of kit or model for building a model tower/building; I'd really like one of the Empire State Building but I'd be happy for anything that looks like it belongs in a modern day city; even if all the pieces aren't there or it has been used before, it doesn't matter to me, I would still be happy to have it

- Small thin pins, for the purposes of pinning down completed cross stitch for framing (would also be happy for just any advice on what kind of pins and where to find them)

- Anything Doctor Who or Digimon or Marvel (Thor, Captain America, Iron Man and the like) related, I'll be happy to take if off your hands, no matter what the item is

I have wishes for costume pieces. I know they are long shots but it never hurts to ask, right?

- Severed hand like a Halloween decoration or a prop, size proportional to a real human hand (so no severed doll limbs or any smaller toys like that, please)

- Gas mask. The kind that sticks out from your face like a Halloween mask with a huge nozzle and two goggles for the eyes (similar to this: http://fav.me/d2stb1r ). If not exactly that, I'd take something close to it.

- Yellow (or white that can be dyed yellow) jumpsuit/full bodysuit for an adult. Perferably not skin tight, but slightly baggy.

- Black or purple or blue witch/wizard hat for an adult, tall and pointy though collapsable for storage and travel, it's okay if it is worn and raggedy, that's the look I'm going for.

Like I said, I know it's a long shot but I figured I should just put it out there in the world :) If you have any ideas on how I can get my hands on them for cheap, I would also welcome those suggestions.

Thanks for reading my wish list! Happy April, everyone!

A reminder -

Lisa D. (tommygirl collects expired coupons  to send to military bases.   Coupons should be no more than 3 months past date, please.  Just PM  for her address and send a bunch when you can.    This is a great help to our military families.  (Only regular coupons, not those  for specific stores, please.)

Only Lisa is accepting expired coupons at this time. Please PM her to pass on yours.    If anyone else is doing this, please let us know and we will gladly add you to the list.

Crochet Thread:
I make doll clothes and would like any thread that you are not going to use or no longer want.  The doll clothes goes to the women’s shelter for the girls that come with the   mothers.  I make the clothes and then buy an inexpensive doll to put with the clothes for the girls.

Candles:
Any scented candles that you have no use for.  Even partially burnt ones will be welcome.

Drink mix singles (Crystal Light, Kool-Aid, Store Brand etc):
In an effort to continue to loose weight I am now drinking water instead of pop which is great but plain water does not appeal so I am  looking for any of those single water flavorings that you might have bought and find you don’t like.

Crafts:
I am looking for Scrabble Tiles that no one is using to complete a  project.  I need these letters…N-3, I-2, K-1, H-2, T-1

K-Cups:
Any flavor, In an effort to help my husband to decide which flavor he likes the most.  Or even coupons for these would be welcome.

Always collecting Boxtops for Ed, and Campbell's Labels for Ed for 2 schools.

Any small thing Pirate themed that I might be able to hot glue to my pirate themed grapevine wreath-- in Tampa we have an annual celebration called Gasparilla with pirate parades, balls, and festival.

Any small thing mardi gras themed I might be able to hot glue to a grapevine wreath-- maybe something like those theater masks? I already have plenty of beads!

this month I really Need coupons for : Thermacare heat wraps (for back pain)  and for married daughter's new puppy, coupons for those "puppy pads" for while they are training him--any brand is great  (I know I've seen that Hartz makes them)

Hi All,

I'm in need of some ideas/recipes for potlucks.  Here's the catch -  it has to be something my son can carry in his backpack to the potluck.  He is autistic and his day program (community-based) has been meeting for a potluck once a month.  I've been making pasta salad (easy since he can carry it in a ziploc with a bowl), but everyone is apparently tired of it (about as tired as I am of the potluck-once-a-month idea, lol :-).

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.  Happy Spring!

I´d squeal with delight for any

- old maps (state road maps or whatever you have), don´t have to be current or in great condition; I´ll use them for paper crafts

- plant cuttings, maybe for Wandering Jew, inch plant, spider plant, pothos, hen ´n chicks or other similar succulents, etc. -- anything that is easy to propagate with cuttings.  In my experience, if these are mailed in a bubble envelope with a moist paper towel they travel quite well.

Thanks for reading!
