This book says publication date of 1968, this copy is not that old, it is a reissued copy of an older book. It is a story about a girl whose cat has kittens and how she takes care of them.

About a little girl in a small apartment just big enough for one cat - and that cat has kittens. So the little girl has to face giving her beloved kittens away. Beautiful, life like black and white illustrations - if you like kittens you'll love the pictures. Story is intriguing.

Caldecott Honor Book. Beautiful, "warm and fuzzy" illustrations. April can only keep ONE kitten in her family's small apartment. But what about the mother cat? Very sweet story.
