This book is a non-fiction story of such sacrifice and dedication of missionaries that devoted their lives to Christian teaching, that I found it fascinating.
George & Lola Breaden were well on their way to fulfilling the American dream - a new home, a prosperous family business, a summer home by Lake Erie, and two little girls.
On May 24, 1919 George wrote in his diary: "Last night God called me to be a missionary. He is calling me to Arabia."
Undaunted by Islamic law, the Breadens carried the gospel to Bedouin tribes and to the very heart of Arabia, with miles of Mecca; they penetrated Muslim settlements in Jordan; they opened parochial schools; they traversed the desert with bullets flying around them; they established a Bible college; they prayed, they fasted, they preached salvation, healing and deliverance - and they raised a family of missionaries which extends to the third generation.
