This was an interesting read and I'm glad I got through it. But I can't say that I gained anything from it ... like wisdom from fables, or such. I do like the format of the story thread (King Shahryar and Scheherazade) holding the stories together. She tells him a story each night to stay alive. It also has a happy ending. It's interesting how these stories have been passed down through oral history as far back as the 9th century from Indian, Persian, and Arab cultures.
