Very few now that they stay for longer than 45 days! I used to archive a lot. Now I only save the ones that I REALLY want to save for forever.

how long do they stay for now?  or is there a number limit before the older ones start disappearing?

i'm a hoarder for PMs and email, though i try to clean them out once in a while.  it'd be good if i had an idea of when i need to archive the important ones.

I can almost say "none" but there have been a couple I've archived, so not quite accurate.

But I archive almost none. I didn't realize they'd changed the 45 days, but that was long enough for any deals or agreements to complete.

Wow! I seldom look at the number of PMs I have, and even then, never really think about how many that actually is. I just went to the end of them to see what the date was, and since there is no longer a drop down to move thru the pages, you have to arrow back for every 50 PMs. I think I oughta delete some! They seem to be staying for at least a year now. Mine appear to be a little spotty further back than that, like they weren't all there, but it may be that I deleted or archived a lot before that.

I recently went through my emails, and using the tag feature, labeled and kept a few.

Used tags such as,

good swapper (could be for great wrapping, or good assortment of books on shelf, ect)

poor wrapper (for books that were lucky to make it here in one piece).

good feedback email that was about a book I had sent.

any problem transaction, such as lost, damaged, ect.

buddy emails

live help questions/answers

None.  I delete them either as soon as I read them, or, in the case of problem transactions, when the problem has been resolved.  I see no reason to keep a bunch of old pms that have nothing to do with anything ongoing anymore.  But that's just me.  I feel overloaded with email and such on a daily basis.  I've learned to streamline.  :)
