hi, I am not familiar with advanced reader copy books and recently came across a few books that I'm not sure of. they have on the covers either 'WSP readers club' or 'reading group guide' logo on the cover. does that mean they are ARC's? they look like regular books except that they have a few pages at the end with questions for discussions. thanks! |

It sounds like those are just book club editions, which are fine to post. ARC's will say Advanced Reading COpy - Not for Resale, or something similiar, on the cover of the book. They may also say Uncorrected Proof. There should always be something that says Not for Resale. ARC's are not the same as the finished copy of the book - that is why they are not allowed on this site. |

Some books include reading group or discussion guides at the end. A lot of authors and/or publishers are doing that now in the hopes that their books will be selected as book group picks. It's just an extra feature in the book. An ARC is an advanced copy of the book, sent to reviewers before the book's release date. It will be labled as such and be marked as unsellable. |

Those Reading Guide ones look enough like ARC's to me that I checked again before posting one recently just to be certain it was okay! |
