I have noticed on my last few mailings that when my books are scanned into the USPS system, they are no longer scanned as "Acceptance" scans, but rather as "Arrival at Post Office". They are being mailed from the PO, and scanned into the system while I watch. I've seen this on a few other mailings as well in VBs. Does anyone know if all mailings now have "Arrival at Post Office" instead of "Acceptance", or whether there's any rhyme or reason to the difference? They are the same as far as I can tell, but didn't know if the change of wording was universal or only on certain packages? The change seems recent if there is a definite one, since my last mailings still show "Acceptance". Here's my 2 DCs from today--they were e-DC only, not sure if that makes any difference. Track on the USPS site. 420283189449001699320000059857 420968139449001699320000059840 |

Two packages that I mailed today show the following entry on the USPS site (they aren't PBS, but eBay):
Acceptance - Feb-11-13, 13:42 PM, SUMMIT POINT, WV 25446 FWIW, I've not seen the notice "Arrival at Post Office" verbiage... Last Edited on: 2/12/13 11:50 AM ET - Total times edited: 1 |

Haven't checked much recently, it's a pain in the tushie to copy and paste into USPS.com. But the ones I have checked are still saying Acceptance. ETA - OK I checked. It does appear that some of the scan verbage has changed:
Arrival at Post Office used to say Arrival at Unit and Dispatched to Sort Facility is also new to me. Last Edited on: 2/12/13 2:35 AM ET - Total times edited: 1 |

OK, I see it Shelia, it's like your PO (or mine) is scanning in reverse. Here's your example:
Mine starts with Acceptance, and Arrival at PO is showing at the destination postal unit. Yours starts with the Arrival at PO ... and is still enroute, no telling yet what the destination scan will say. |

I don't know why it's showing up that way, but I do know that it is physically impossible for my package to have gotten from Greenville to Raleigh in 1 hour and 13 minutes unless someone was hauling some serious a$$. I guess we shall see how it all plays out. |
