Schopenhauer was and remains the only German philosopher (ever) who wrote readable prose. And one of the reasons that's true is because of his very individual combination of humor and dry wit, which shows through in each of these essays. Don't be frightened off by the German name. These are fascinating articles about all aspects of better-quality books and writing, in Germany and around the world. The only reason I'm listing it is because (by mistake) I have two copies.
