I don't want to post in the wrong forum, but this does have to do with mailing books. I am looking at getting my own scales makes it easier than having to deal with the post office waiting in line. So, could someone suggest a good one/type? I figure I only need one that weights, not give price of stamps needed. Thanks for any help.

I use a food scale that weighs in grams and ounces. It weighs to the 1/8 ounce or 2 grams. It's handy to be able to weigh hard to measure ingredients, like peanut butter. There are a number of options available at amazon. |

PBS sells a nice one in the Kiosk. Here is the link: https://secure.paperbackswap.com/kiosk/details.php?type=item&id=67 |

Hi Janette, I have an Ultraship scale. It weighs up to 55lbs which is good when mailing heavier boxes at Christmas time. The best feature is that the digital readout can be stretched away from the machine if you have an oversized box. That way you can still read it while the box is on the scale. You can find it on Ebay or Amazon between $20 - $30.
