This is the second book in the Trinity Harbor series...but of course, was the one I began with! Not only that, it was my first introduction to Sherryl Woods' writing style! Have no fear, it can stand alone and be read out of order without any worries.

Jenna is desperate to prove herself to her family and goes out of her way to get a development project. Who knew she would fall head over heels for the owner of the property? A good fun read.

Light summer reading...very light. I'm assuming that this is one Ms. Woods early attempts because it is not in the league of her other books.

Ms. Woods weaves a story around two main characters, Bobby Spencer and Jenna Kennedy, with an assortment of others who have a measure of influence on their lives. Set in VA, Jenna devises a scheme guaranteed to get the attention of Bobby Spencer and win his approval to plan and construct his riverfront property. After a rocky start, boy gets girl or vice versa. Everyone lives happily after.

All in all, a book to fill idle time.

Waking up to discover an antique carousel horse and an armed guard in his front yard is not what Bobby Spencer needs on a quiet Sunday morning. Once again the Spencers are going to be the talk of Trinity Harbor, Virginia. And Bobby isn't feeling very kindly toward the person responsible.

But Jenna Pennington Kennedy is a desperate woman. That carousel horse is her ticket to capturing Bobby's attention and convincing him to offer her the opportunity to plan the town's new riverfront development. It is also her chance to prove to her father that she is a responsible woman and not the reckless kid she'd once been.

The last thing Bobby wants in his life is a sexy single mom who's driven to succeed. The last thing Jenna's looking for is another ride on an emotional roller coaster.

But in Trinity Harbor, love has a way of defying expectations. Ask anyone.
