It is a good book, although flawed. I enjoyed the first half with the misunderstanding between Elizabeth and Georgiana. But once that was cleared up, the book kind of dragged along. I have enjoyed other books by this author such as Pemberley's Promise which I feel is the better written book. What was flawed about it was for one Georgiana was to bossy, was very intent on changing Darcy. She seemed very modern with her attempt at self-improvement. Two the ending dragged along, and seemed slow going. But other then that it was a good book I enjoyed Jane's wedding and the interaction between Darcy and Elizabeth. Overall I would recommend it.

This book is above average. The author kept to the spirit of the original Darcy and Elizabeth. The writing style was a little awkward in spots, but it was not really bad or distracting. The relationship between the pair seemed natural to me. Georgiana didn't quite fit with the impression of her that a reader gets from P&P (particularly in the second half of the book), but she IS a minor character in the original, so I could accept her being a little different than I expected. I did not feel the desire to read this book a second time, but I did enjoy it. I recommend it.
