My children enjoyed this first as a read aloud whent hey were toddlers then later as a practice book for independent reading. A level 2 book.

One of a nice series from DK. I used several of these books for my autistic son, for whom fantasy and cartoon-style readers are not desirable. This series fits the bill: realistic art, clear explanations, and simple, big-print text. The Level 2 DK readers in this series have big print, but more text per page than Level 1.
