Have you all seen the atheist bus ads that are in Britian? I gather they've caused quiet a stir. http://www.atheistbus.org.uk/

Yes, I have read the stories on the atheist bus ads. Britain is not nearly as religious as the US, even though they have an official Church of England. I especially like the issue about whether the phrase "There is probably no God" should be posted as an ad because it can't be substantiated. Yeah right - as if the existence of God in religious ads can be substantiated.

I read about these a while ago and was tickled! Wish I could have seen them when I was there a year ago! |

I like the idea of representation, but I wish the ads said something substantial. It almost seems like they are meant to just be inflammatory, which is a detriment. I get that they are meant to be funny and a little satirical while proving a point, but it would great if the atheist/agnostic message was paired with social reform or good works, you know what I mean? |

I can't see "There is probably no God" as that inflammatory, because it says probably, not definitely. Granted I might not be the best judge... |
