(Edit - All gone now. I promise I'll post again when I get too many again)
Hey guys - I have way too many audible.com credits (you can only "roll-over" so many from month to month until you max out and start actually losing the ones you pay for).
I can't just gift a free credit, like you can here, unfortunately. I have to gift you a specific book. If you want one, just PM me your e-mail address and what book you want from their available ones.
If you're already a member on Audible.com - great, you're all set up and you already know how this works.
If you're not a member, you could still get a free book.
***You do NOT have to pay monthly to be a member there*** I think this is a common misconception about this site, and why no one wants to take me up on these freebies. They of course, would like you to, and your audiobooks would be cheaper if you do - but you can start an account with them, download the software you need to get it on your device, get my gift book to you, and not have to pay. The difference is, if you bought anything else, you would be paying list price for the audiobook (Ex: Girl with the Dragon Tattoo would cost you $24.50 right now, it would cost me $11 since I'm a paying member) I think they just have many screen encouraging you to start a paying monthly or annual membership with them, and people don't realize they can just go around those and search the library and buy things without opting in to that.
If you listen to many audiobooks regularly, it is actually cheaper to go ahead join a paid plan. There's a few offer codes I can give you if you do decide to sign up for a plan, so you another free book download.
They do have very nice phone customer service if you want to be walked through setting up an account and downloading the driver to put books on your mp3 player, etc. You don't have to have an iPod or whatever, you can listen through your computer, too. Once you go through it once, it's easy to download more. Once something's in your library, you can delete it after listening from your device, and always go back to your library with them and download it again.
Their format is protected, just so you know - meaning you can't share your downloaded audiobook file with someone else's device like a regular mp3 file. The book will 'know' to play only on one of your devices.
It's easier than this probably makes it sound. I'm just trying to pre-anticipate any questions newbies might have. Do I sound like a commercial? Sorry. Just trying to make someone's day better with free stuff!

Thanks so much for the book. I listen to most of my books. My eyes are getting so bad. Sleepless nights go by so much faster when you get lost in a good book..... I have been living in the world of Krynn for months now. It will be nice to visit somewhere else...hahahaha

I really need to edit my membership - I can't keep up with 2 a month anymore. But I do love doing this if it makes people excited.
I once again have some Audible credits stacked up to give away - PM with the title you want and your e-mail address.
You don't have to to listen to your first book, but go to www.audiblepodcast.com/smartest to get 30 days free trial.
