Has anyone read these books?  Are they good?  The reason I ask is because the used book store near my house has almost all the books in hard back and I was thinking of getting them.  Thanks :)

These books are great! We actually have a book train going of the entire series over in the games forum. They are fun cozy mysteries with the cool twist of the ghost detective helping the "live" detective. Of course I also love them because they are set in small town England which is high on my favorite places list. With a couple of exceptions, they are reasonably non-violent and are also free of sex although there is an element of romance in a few of them.

If you do decide to read them, note that even though Aunt Dimity's Death is the first in the series based on the order they were written and published, Aunt Dimity and the Duke comes first in the story line and makes more sense if you read it first. There are 12 books in the series now. I would *love* to have them all in hardcover!

Mom has read them and liked them very much. She thought they were very well done and the Aunt Dimity premise was interesting.

Love love love this series!  It is one of my few keepers now and I'm anxiously awaiting the next one coming to me!

I've enjoyed this series very much.  Make sure you start with book one as it lays out some of the plot.  Book 2 seems odd because it involves different characters, but they match up later.  so, don't give up if you aren't thrilled with book 2.  It's  a fun series.

Last night I was up by the local Borders so I ran in and grabbed the first book in the series Aunt Dimity's Death to see if I would like them before I spent the money on the whole series in hardcover.  I got home, ran around and cleaned up the house, and then settled in on the day bed in the sunshine and started reading.  I finished half the book last night and hope to finish the other half tonight.  It is so good.  I'm so glad I picked this up!!!
