Wikipedia is usually really helpful with this.  Or sometimes the author's web site.  I'm super obsessed with reading things in order, too.

Great suggestions!  I am going to check them out.

If only everyone did A is for Alibi, B is for.......Now that is easy.

There are two primary websites that I know of that list an author's work in a series in order:

www.stopyourekillingme.com- This one is just mysteries.

www.fantasticfiction.com - This is all fiction authors.

I would go nuts if not for the two websites Lynne J posted. I am constantly consulting them. They are a book lovers best friend. There are only a few authors I've searched for that aren't on one of those sites, and those I just Google and usually come up with their individual websites.

I am OCD about reading a series in order, also.

I also am a freak about reading books in order--and I generally visit those two sites Lynne posted at least once a day if not more! Sometimes they don't have what I'm looking for and then as others suggested, I do look at either the author's or publisher's websites to find information.

I am in contact with the SYKM website manager occasionally, as I do let them know when I've gotten information they don't have available yet either about an upcoming book by an author on their list, or about a mystery series author they haven't got listed. They appreciate the help, as information from us is how they keep their site updated.

Thank you, thank you.  I just looked up one author (Lisa Gardner) and it was all there looking at me.

amazon.com has lists of the books in order too.  I'm also a freak about having to read a series in order!

Try Douglas Preston & Lincoln Child's series with Pendergast. I'm sure you'll like it.
