Does anyone know, with the new fees structure, if you go A La Carte and also want to have auto-request on your books, that you have to make sure you have PBS money in your account or you will be crossed over in the wishlist if a book is posted?

The reason I ask is I have a swapadvd account and the way it works there is if you are on auto-request you have to have the swapadvd money in your account at the time of the request or you get passed over, so I had to make sure I had all my wishes on 48-hour hold over there, unless I wanted to keep money in my account. The nice thing about it is that after the 49 cent fee was started over there, IIRC, they took off the fee for buying swapadvd money.

So I just keep all my wishes on 48-hour hold over there, unless I want to keep money in my account to pay for the fee...my question is, should I do that here?

Don't see any text, but...

If it's like SADVD, you will need to have PBS money available for WL items on auto-request or you will be passed over. If you do not want to keep funds there, then you would probably need to convert items to a 48 hour offer so you'd have time to make a deposit, then accept the request.

Hope that helps.

If you have your books on auto and do not have money in your PBS Money account to cover the fee, you will be passed over.   You DO NOT lose your place in line, but the book will not be offered to you.

If it works any way the way the DVD site works, you will recieve an email stating the item that was offered, and that it was passed because of lack of funds.

A nice reminder that you may want to add more funds/credits.

thank you Melissa and Mary (and Cyn)! Off to change to all 48-hour offer as I think I'm staying but A La Carte, hope they let people know about switching to 48-hour offer unless you have money in your account (or a free fee voucher?) or no fee being charged in your situation....
