I sent out a book that was wish-list auto-requested. I find out the account is on hold. The person does not reply to PM and does not mark book received. Do I just lose the credit and the book?

No! You just have to wait until the system action date shown on the transaction. At that time, one of two things will happen:

1) The book will automatically be marked received for you and you will get the credit.

2) The book will be marked lost. If this happens, then you first send one more PM to the other member. If she doesn't reply within a week, then you use the Contact Us link at the bottom of the screen to ask for help.

The key is that you can't do anything more until the action date passes, so hang in there.

How much time did you give them to respond?  An account on vacation doesn't mean they aren't still active.  It could just indeed mean that they are on vacation. Or don't want to mail any books out.

As I have enough credits to cover WLed books when I'm on vacation, I will put my BL on Vacation Hold, but won't my WLed books.  Also if I've ordered books and they still haven't arrived (I try to not order any books that I think might arrive while I'm away, but doesn't always work that way), then I'll send a PM to the person who sent the book letting them know I'll be away, but will mark the book appropriately when I return home.  Pat

How long has it been since you sent the book? And how long since you sent a PM? Is there any delivery confirmation on the book with scans indicating it's been received, but just not marked so? They may truly be on vacation and not near a computer to respond to your PM. But if they are truly inactive--haven't logged in at all for a given length of time--you get your credit from the system when the book goes lost.  Otherwise follow the instructions given by Cathy. Patience is definitely a virtue!

Whenever I have my account on hold--generally because I don't have money to spend on postage--I always leave my wishlist active and on auto-request, so that in and of itself is not an indicator of inactivity...I still would check in every day here.

Thanks all for the info. I sent the book out 4-11. The others I sent at the same time were all received a week ago. I guess I'll just have to wait and see what happens.
