I received a book on the 8th RWP.  I marked it RWP 1:41pm, the PM to member went through at 1:45 and in my credit registry a credit was deposited at...

  • Reason: Request Refund

I've never had a book come to me RWP before.  Is the credit automatic from the PBS Team or did the credit come from the member?   I never had a PM from the member, so I figured it was the PBS Team.

If it's from the PBS Team I'd like to give it back to them, it wasn't their fault.   Do I continue to try for my credit back from the member?

Although I would like to mark the RWP resolved if the credit was indeed from the member, but the unanswered PM makes me believe it wasn't the member.

Thanks for any help.

The credit came from the other member. She clicked the "Give Refund" button in the Transaction Archive. PBS does not get involved in member to member disputes, and they won't give your credit back themselves.

If you look at the details page for a book you sent then you should be able to see this button. It shows up even on books that were received successfully.

Its from the member. PBS doesn't give automatic refunds, you have to ask the sender for a refund. In the transaction archive theres a place to give refunds so request refund would make sense for the reason in the credit registry. They should have answered your PM but maybe they figured they resolved the problem by returning your credit.

Amiee, you're probably right about the PM.  I will go and mark problem resolved now.

Thank-you both for your help.
