Today when I first went to pbs, I looked at the "Available Audio Books" that shows up on the first screen (one of my two favorite "genres"). I clicked on one of the books and it only says "Buy from Amazon." I further checked it out and supposedly this audio book is not in the system. What's up? Edited a few minutes later: I put this on my wish list. Now it says that the last time this was posted was today. Do you suppose that someone ordered it shortly before I clicked on it and the system is just a little behind? Last Edited on: 3/28/10 8:28 AM ET - Total times edited: 1 |

It's quite possible that that's exactly what happened. Someone saw it on the Books Posted Today page and snapped it up quickly. |

That must be it! Darn, I should have gotten up earlier. |

I am a new member and enjoy PBS, I have saved alot of money on audiobooks. I bought some credits to get me started. I am guessing here, but if the book is wish listed, the system does not make the audiobook available until the wish has elapsed. It takes longer, but if you on like audiobooks on CD, you can do an advanced search for the last 24 hours. It is amazing how many hits you get back. This is a good way to wishlist books you see if you set your search to All Books.

Thanks, Dave. I do what you suggest every day. That's how I get most of my audio books. But, this popped up before I did my daily search. In fact, I look at every audio book on CD that has been posted in the alst 24 hours--doesn't take very long. |
