A very good, unbiased view of a very influential author. I have read, and enjoyed, Rand's four fiction novels. This biography gives you insight into what may have influenced Rand's views. While not always flattering of the late philosopher, I believe it is accurate.

I was disappointed with this biography. I felt it was around 3/5 what was already written in the Brandens' memoir and biography; 1/5 synopses of her fiction and their public/critical receptions; 1/5 information that was new to me.
