How do I add books to my "Books I've Read" list?

You have to give them a star rating.

Thank you, Mary for your response.  Where do you located the place to star-rate them?  Must they only be books on my TBR list or books that I purchased from PBS? Sorry for all the questions but I was not able to locate this information in HELP.

You can rate them on any page that the book appears -- for example, on your bookshelf, or when you list it or if it is a book that you have not traded through PBS. just search for it by title and star ratings appear underneath the picture of the book on the book details page. When you have rated it, the stars turn yellow.
