I love doing BOBs, but I have a couple of requests that have been sitting out there (2-3 weeks) without any response from the other party......and I try to offer BOBs to the people listed in the new member or reopened bookshelfs.  Unlike getting books for credits, the system does not time these requests out.  How long do other BOB participants wait before they finally DECLINE/CANCEL the request so it can be moved out of their pending folder??

I'm fine with the requestor declining the BOB, cause I totally understand that I may not have something on my self that they are interested in reading.  It's just the lack of response that is driving me nuts.  I ADMIT!!!  I am fairly new to PBS and I'm so excited about the site that I might not be as patient as I should be. :-)  And I don't want to seem rude by cancelling before they finally look at the offer or decide.

Thanks for the input!!

I usually wait a week or so. Sometimes more it just depends. If the books can easily be found from other boxers I usually only wait the week. If it's something a little harder to find through boxing I wait a little longer.

I usually leave them until I get sick of looking at them.  :)
