I made an offer for a BOB and it was accepted on the 28th of June. I mailed my box of 11 books out to the other member on July 1st. I have not received the BOB from the member and I noticed that she never marked it mailed. Now I find that her account has been suspended or closed. IIII I I'm afraid that I'm just out 11 books. There is no way now for me to contact her and ask if she has or is going to mail the books. I'm irked to say the least. Any suggestions? |

Probably not likely that you will get your books. Here is what I suggest, though. Contact PBS and tell them about your situation. That way, if the member ever wants to re-open her account, they will know about your issue (looks like the member might have had issues with other people, too). Someone has posted in the past about needing to make good on previous bad transaction sbefore being allowed to re-join PBS. (I'm afraid I don't recall if they were the offender or the victim in the story, I only remember the gist of it being that PBS was making someone? resolve their bad transactions before being allowed to be a member again.) If the account was closed with credits still in it, perhaps they will give some to you. I don't think it would hurt to send them a letter about it though. Knowing if there are no credits and/or the member never wants to come back ... probably not much else they can do about it. |

I agree with Sara. To talk to the PBS Team, go down to the bottom right corner of any page, and under "company" click on "contact us." Use the Feedback option there. |

I agree, too. I "lost" a box of six books a while back and asked the PBS team what to do. They assured me that the member would not be able to resume her membership until she had made the swap right. Unfortunately, she never cared to do so. I was really irked, too! The good news is, that out of the many swaps that I have completed, I have found a bunch of really great swappers, and a mountain of books to read. I am sorry for your bad experience, but please do not let it influence your entire attitude about boxing.

Melinda,
I had this same thing happen to me. It was 12 books in my case. I don't know what PBS usually does, but when I contacted them in my case, the other member apparently had a crap load of credits in their account. PBS actually gave me enough of their credits to cover my books. I think their account had been totally abandoned as PBS said this had happened with several other trades from this same account. I don't know if this is what they'll do for you. I guess this is handled on a case by case basis. I was really pleased with the way PBS handled mine. I hope yours works out in your favor. Pam |

Thanks for the advice. I did contact PBS and she has several incomplete BOB transactions. If she tries to join again PBS will make her make the swap good before they allow her to join. They did mention something that I had not considered...the possibility of something serious interferring with her swapping.I hope that is not the case. Melinda |
