Hello all, I so hate to even post here for fear of hurting someone's feelings but I have to know and don't know any other way to find out. I have a few questions about BOB's.

1. What do you do if you accept a BOB, mail it, get your feedback but never get the other person's books? Is there anything you can do or is it just a lost cause?

2. Why do people iniate BOB's and then when I choose a book they cancel? I've had this happen quite often lately and just don't understand. I mean I get it happening every so often when someone changes their mind or something but it's happened more than once in a short time.

I have been a BOB member for a few months now and have had some good transactions but also some bad ones. I'm not sure I want to renew my subscription although I love the idea of BOB trading. Any thoughts?

Thanks in advance everyone!

A.1.  You contact them via PM, if they don't offer to make it right, ie: send you other books, give you credits in lieu of, etc, then you contact R&R and they will help you settle if they can. They do become more involved in BoB transactions than they do individual credit transactions, because you pay for that service, so I guess a little "support" comes with it :)

A.2.  I have no idea why they would do that! Why do people order books and cancel them? Maybe they only have so much postage for the week/month, and they'd rather spend it on a different trade? Maybe someone just offered a really great 4/1 deal in the Bazaar and they got the book in it? They are encouraged to send you and apology/explanation when they decline, when the PM to you box comes up when they hit decline, but apparently not all people feel the need to be polite.

I can't imagine why you wouldn't want to renew your subscription, if you can get 8 books without spending a credit for them, during the next year, it seems to me it would be worth the $8 to anyone. Anything after the 8 is gravy :)

ETA: Anyone that ever has any question that cannot be found by searching the forums or the Help Center can ALWAYS ask their favorite Tour Guide, if they don't have one assigned to them personally, or any of them at random from the Live Help Listing. You never have to ask a question publicly if you don't want to. (But, I don't think your question was inappropriate at all, btw :)
