Ever since she started skating at the age of six, Claire Glass has dreamed of becoming an Olympic contender. So when Coach Greg Mastroni, a former gold medalist, announces his auditions to fill five vacancies at his prestigious school, it seems Calaire's dream is finally within her grasp.
But Claire doesn't make the cut. Instead, her fiery arch-rival, Shelby Lane does. Claire is crushed-until a letter arrives from Lake Placid saying there might be a place for her there after all.
Claire nervously awaits final word from the school. She's sure she can handle the long hours of training, but does she really have what it takes to be a champion?
