"The Last Open Road", "The Fabulous Trashwagon", and "Toly's Ghost" are the ones I've read- no one on PBS seems to know about them. The narrator is a mechanic (Buddy Palumbo) in Passaic, NJ who gets into working on sports cars and racing back in the 1950's. He's just a good, honest guy and very sympathetic character. This author, B.S. Levy is into racing vintage sports cars and writing about the early days of sports car racing. He's a good writer- plenty of humor and history with some tragedy mixed in. Even if you're not a racing buff, you will enjoy the characters. His books aren't completely about racing, but it's the main focus. Lots of fun.
