I have 45 out of ~470 wish listed books. So, running just a little under 10% of my wish listed books on my bookshelf. Yes, I do post Wish Listed books too ... Last Edited on: 6/10/16 1:23 PM ET - Total times edited: 2 |

13 out of 150, so also a little under 10%. |

39 out of 576 WL books have pale red W's on my TBR shelves. |
8 out of 172 WL books on my bookshelf. |
Eight of 92 WL on my 202-book TBR shelf. OTOH, 19 are green Ws. |

1 lonely pale red W on my bookshelf with 164 books but on my TBR list the W's have exploded in past month ( I check these regularly to see if I should read a WL book next).......71 red W's, 15 pale ones, and 13 green ones. I have an overage of credits right now so am not picking every book I read from my pile of WL'd books. I do feel guilty having so many WL books on my TBR not moving very fast.

On my TBR list I have 2 green, 1 pale red, and 1 dark red. Unfortunately, I have other things I'm reading right now and probably won't get to them for awhile. I may be confused, but if a book is on your bookshelf, how can it have a W of any kind? If it is on a WL, it shouldn't still be on your bookshelf, right? You are right about the solid red or green Ws but the pale red W will be on your bookshelf cause it means the person doesn't currently have a credit for your book. |
It also could mean that they WLed the book long ago and when the change went into effect last year, they are no longer active, but didn't pull their book shelf or WLed books from the system, so you may have a Pale Red W for a long, long time. Pat |

But we have no way of knowing who is active or not (until they fail to reply to offers or requests and TPTB shut down the acct)......don't think the pale red W would distinguish that. |

I don't have any pale red W on my bookshelf but I have 2 on my Books I've Read list. Those 2 books show zero wishers. I guess if there's a line of wishers with credits but the first wisher had no credits then the pale red W would not be displayed? EDITED: I forgot that a wl on auto-request gets converted to 48 hr offer. Last Edited on: 7/7/16 8:57 AM ET - Total times edited: 1 |

I noticed something about the the pale red W and the Green W auto. I set my account on vacation hold and added books to my shelf. I noticed one had a pale W. When I checked the box and clicked hold the pale red W disappeared and replaced with Green W auto. Then I removed the vacation hold. Also that book has 2 wishers. EDITED: Tina, you can have wl books on your bookshelf if they are on hold. Last Edited on: 7/7/16 9:19 AM ET - Total times edited: 3 |

i haven't been around much lately. What does the pale red w indicate? |
The pale red W means that someone has the book on their WL, but either their shelf is on Vacation Hold or they don't have credits at this time to order the book. I have several pale "W"s showing against books on my shelf, and they've been there for several months, so either the person doesn't have a very active shelf or has left the site, but didn't delete their books. I am a little confused about the pale red W. I have some books on my bookshelf that have the pale red W next to them, but they show that there aren't any wishers for the book, and have multiple copies in the system. If there are multiple copies, why would the book have the pale red W? |
