What can I say? A highly emotional, frightening, haunting and chilling book. Which makes the book all the more memorable. The detailed description of the execution is excellent.
Eduard was the first convict to be executed on the Green Mile, and by a really vicious and spiteful guard. It's hard to read, graphic, but hard to put down, too.
Book 4 of The Green Mile - The book begins to take an increasingly ominous turn as it passes midway towards the end of the story.
Along with the other five parts it is a great read.
Book four of The Green Mile books works well as a standalone book. To be fully appreciated and understood the reader must read the first three books prior to reading this one.
The movie is faithful to the book. The book, however fleshes out the character of John Coffey a bit more than does the movie.
I recommend this book to anyone
I'm not a King fan, but this series was great! The Green Mile represents the last walk taken by condemned prisoners. Is John Coffey a vicious murder of children, or a gentle giant wrongfully accused? Set in 1932, this story of murder, mystery and miracles is told from the point of view of a prison guard.
Time has run out for one of the inmates at Cold Mountain penitentiary. Eduard Delacoix is set to take that final walk down the Green Mile. but first he must say good-bye-- to the guards, to his fellow inmates, and to a strange creature that forever changed his life. Little does he know the terrible fate that awaits him, and of a devilish plan of revenge.
As always Stephen King keeps us with our eyes glued to the pages.
This was an okay book. It's a very short read.
Great series. All six books are a great read!
Eduard Delacroix is next set to walk the mile but lkittle does he know that a devilish plan of revenge awaits him.
Eduard Delacroix walks the Green Mile. Little does he know the terrible fate that awaits him Very good book
