Typical cozy mystery. I liked the addition of the Native American Medicine aspect. The end was very attention-gathering. Charles Moon's character is starting to grow on me. I may check out more of Yarbro's books with Moon as the protagonist. This is the first book in a series, so you get an introduction, albeit small, to Charles Moon, ESQ. He is of Native American descent. Medicine man, yet practicing attorney in the White Man's World of San Francisco. I've read better, but it was drawing enough that I may check out the next venture to see how Yarbro's writing matures.

charlie spotted moon is an ojibwa indian from a canadain tribe but he was born in california,holds dual citizenship -tri if you count the tribe. the grandson of a medicine man and charlie is a trained medicine man as well taught by his grandfather.
charlie is an atty with several cases,one of which is a malpractice against a doctor friend of his.
he uses his shaman's way to help him uncover the truth of the case.
a very good read
this is the first of the 'charlie moon mystery's' if there are other books out there I would enjoy reading them.
