Good story /plot! Billed as erotic but not as steamy as some I have read so don't let that aspect scare you off of a good read.

After reading reviews, I decided to give this book a chance. I wasn't disappointed because in addition to some steamy love scenes, it had a really good plot and storyline. I was impressed that it was so well written and not full of lewd sex scenes, but instead had love scenes between partners and not a bunch of people engaging in group activities.

Great period piece. Although Aleysia thwarts Renaud at every turn, the love growing between them glows. Beautifully written, I could vividly imagine the castle and the people.

I really enjoyed this book a lot. The plot was great and both the hero and heroin were loveable characters.

I'm really looking forward to reading Adelstans story (The Conquest).

Not usually my 'type' of book...but I have actually read it three times. I really enjoyed it and you get drawn in to the characters. It's an easy read, very good for a rainy afternoon. Enjoy :)

This book was a surprise - though an erotica - read much more like a typical romance novel with the requisite love scenes - though there was a little bit of out in the open groping witnessed by the heroine. Characters were fairly well developed, though a couple of the plot lines moved a little fast. An enjoyable story - First time I've read this author - would read another.

Definitely Recommend!

When Lady Aleysia Cawdor's land is overtaken by foreign invaders, she must do what ever it takes to save her twin brother. So she makes a bargain with Renaud De Wulf, the very handsome leader of the invaders. She will surrender to him and offer him whatever he pleases, in exchange for her brother's safety. Neither of them are prepared for the passion that ensues.

I love Julia Templeton's books. There are some steamy love scenes in this novel, but not as "erotic" as it seems initially. If you like the Fifty Shades series, then I definitely recommend this author. She does a great job blending in just the right amount of naughty into the story line. I also read her other book Return to Me and really enjoyed that one as well. Can't wait to order the second book in this two book series.
