The dialog is witty, the plot unusual, The Bargain is well-paced and unlike too many romance novels, the resolution and ending are unexpected and fun! Coughlin has carefully crafted the characters of Sam and Lisa; neither of them suffer from bizarre leaps in logic; and the catalyst to resolving the crisis has much greater credibility than a mere 'rethink' by the heroine.
