Just announced! They look SOooooooo tempting!

There is a 7" one which comes in white or gray and is $199 for 8 GB with 5 GB available for side-loaded content, AND an SD card slot. Sweet!!! Plus for parents you can set up a separate profile for yourself and your children, and password yours so your kids can't get to your copy of 50 Shades of Crap! (teehee) Light, thin, with no more annoying cut out on the corner.

NOOK HD Snow 8GB

  • NOOK Tablet - 8GB: 512MB RAM
  • NOOK Tablet - 16GB: 1GB RAM

Just as or even more tempting is the 9" HD+ for $269! 16 GB of which 13 GB is available for customer side-loading, with an SD card slot.

Nook HD+

Still a "walled garden" type of tablet but it looks really good!

I wonder if current Nook owners will get the updated software for their tablets?  Seems like we should!  Still wish it wasn't a walled tablet though.

I LOVE the fact that the new HD tablets still allow for memory expansion with a memory card! Other companies are trying to force people to the cloud system by limiting the memory, but B&N continues to make their devices with memory card expansion! :)
