I love the Basara series; it's a masterful, award-winning blend of action and drama. Having learned her mother lives, Sarasa has set out to Kumano in hopes of rescuing her. Somehow, she must make allies in a land whose customs and environment are alien to her, and whose proud people are disinclined to kneel to anyone.
